I also had good results with NexGard. Didn't have any problem getting my dog to eat it either.

Yeah that's true.
Here's the strategy:
-Bring dog to vet for flea bath
-Insect bomb house to kill current fleas
-Spray yard to kill current fleas
-Start dog on Trifexis or something similar

If your house has carpets a good vacuuming may knock out a lot of the eggs as well.
+1 for Trifexis. It's a little pricey, but also provides heartworm prevention. My dog hates the taste of it though, so you may have to trick them into eating the pill.

It says beef flavor. I'd like to know what kind of beef they're eating if they think that's beef flavor. Of course, I'm only going off the smell and how my dogs won't eat it without me forcing it down their throats.

It's a dog. It doesn't get a choice.
Put the pill at the back of the dogs throat and hold it's mouth shut till he pill is gone.

We use Trifexis for both of our dogs and have no flea/heartworm problems.
We just give them the pills in the little greenie pill pockets.

I open my 80 lb dogs mouth and shove it down his throat then give him a piece of cheese as a present for not chomping down on my hand.
He takes it like a champ.

That's what I have to do with one of mine. The other usually eats it when I mix it in with her food.

I am guessing this is because the dog is to young/small for ordinary flea medicine. They do make some flea medications for this exact scenario, ask your vet for them.

I think the heart meds I give my dogs have flea protection in it, but you can get flea protection. It comes in a small bottle that you apply across their back.

Don't use Sentinel, it sucks.
ETA: If you want to immediately get rid of them, use CapStar as it kills them in 15 minutes. Plus, you don't want an infestation in your home.

Bathe her in O.G. Dawn dish detergent. It will kill the fleas that are on her.
The next step is to go nuts trying to kill the fleas and eggs in your carpet and upholstery. Good Luck.
The medicine will help her long term preventing them from coming back, but Dawn to get those fleas off her now.
