Rule about most women. If you love them at their lowest, they'll return the favor by abandoning you at yours.
If you find one that doesn't fit that mold.....buy her a ring immediately.
I have awesome wife. And she surrounds herself by good people too. Her social group are also nice, well meaning folks. That makes a huge difference.

Tell them to calm down because there's no reason to get all hysterical

I say take her. Great chance in a great place to find a better model

The state of M-F dynamics is....
Not good.
Not as bad as it appears online, mind you. But it's nonetheless pretty bad.

Provide for your wife’s needs over your own.
The problem is, women don’t even know what they want. What they want changes daily based on their moods or hormones. They are driven by emotions, and no amount of sacrifice on your part will stop her from leaving if she decides she is no longer happy.

My comments where meant to mean, hurt beyond repair as it pertains to putting up with another woman bs. That doesn’t mean I’m hurt to the point I can’t function. It’s actually the opposite. I’m retired and can now do what I want and not ever have to worry about pleasing a woman again.
If I want to play golf, I play golf. If I want to travel, I go. If I want to eat at a certain restaurant, I do.
Autonomy is freeing.

The problem is the "happy wife happy life" mentality that has become so pervasive.
At some point women need to grow the frick up and admit and accept when they are wrong. This nonsense with society just letting modern women act the way they do is what allows this bullshite to persist. It's childish and immature on their part.
There's a happy medium between olden times where men ruled with an absolute iron fist and modern times where we just let them go on with their nonsense. Enough

Good luck with this

The reality is that normal women have a combination of options now. Many work, have their own ability to fund a lifestyle, at least during years when they want the autonomy. They are also more connected to other women (social media) and are exposed to very curated portrayals of what life might be like 24/7. On top of that, they're also more connected to other men via SM and apps or what have you.
If your wife was a homemaker in 1970, she knew a much smaller circle of women, didn't work, was entirely dependent on you for resources and, for the most part, attention/affection. So a doting husband could lean into that and make her the center of his world. Materially, she got a new expensive dress or piece of jewelry, you were the only realistic source of it, and there weren't 10000 examples of better ones at her fingertips making what she had feel "less". And then morally/ethically, there were much stronger social forces for not looking outside the marriage for such things anyway - faith, social shame, etc.
The landscape has just changed in that regard. Less traditionally-minded people will say it's better - women have more flexibility, more autonomy, less dependency. But I think the facts are pretty clear - women aren't doing better, feeling more fulfilled, aren't happier. It's leading to a lot of fatigued men, and that's on top of a lot of other things that are negatively impacting men (many largely of our own making).
This isn't a rant, I'm mostly unaffected by this in any direct sense. But I have boys, so I think it's something men should nonetheless pay attention to because it's a pretty systemic issue that is likely to have a ton of fallout in unexpected ways.

Tell them that they're acting like their mother; it always plays well.

All of this is true. Women have more money and more authority than they ever have had.
And yet, every study done says they have never been more unhappy

My wife would take that as a great compliment. But she is a Mediterranean woman so...

Agree with her, tell her she's always right

Just ignore them?
Yes but only after you feed them and frick them.
So to recap these are the proper steps in order: feed them, frick them, ignore them. This is the way.
Disclaimer: I've been divorced twice and I'm terrible at maintaining relationships. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Also, I've been told I'm fun at parties.

Just tell her she is wrong and she needs to sit down and shut up. This always works

Terrible advice! Always double down until they listen to you. Anything less is a sign of weakness and you’ll find her yelling at you even more when you bend to her wishes.
