What's the best TV I can buy for around 7 or 8 hundred bucks?

Looking for something for the guest bedroom/to play video games on. I prefer relative known brand names.

That's good that you prefer brand names, because its pretty hard finding a brandless tv unless you put it together on your own.

All I know is avoid Vizio, I hear people complain about them more than the others.

I hear this too, but I must have like the only two functioning Vizio's in the history of the company. Never had a problem and always been a great picture compared to my friends' tv's.

Samsung non smart led tvs are about 700. Love my 55" with roku.
