My dad has these on most of his dress shoes
He’s old though, I just don’t get my shoes that dirty

Can't moonwalk is a deal breaker

I like them if you're going to be walking around more outside or on dirty/wet surfaces - like at a wedding. They don't really add too much more width to the sole so they don't throw off the shape of the shoe as much as other clunkier rubber soles. They do take a little longer to get used to compared to leather sole.
For pure dress shoe with a suit, I prefer leather sole, but if it's raining or I'm going out it's Dainite sole.

The only reason I’ve ever sent any Allen Edmonds back for recrafting is the leather soles started wearing through. So any future purchases from them will be Danite soles.
