seems like OP is trying to find a means to justify being a cheap arse bitch.
. I have 3 kids in a private high school. Runs me about 55k/yr. A little late in the game for me trying to be a cheap arse bitch.

then why are you paying the money if its all about the parents? or is this $ making up for your lack of parenting?

Because there are a handful of voucher kids that are flunking out. The narrative is bad schools in bad neighborhoods cause poverty. These kids are getting some of the best education in the state and still failing. Trying to connect the dots. Nothing at all to do with my kids.

It’s my opinion that if a kid has a quality parent(s) at home, he or she will succeed no matter how shitty a school may be. Conversely, a kid with terrible parents will fail in even the best school.

Am I wrong?

Magnet schools are full of examples why you are correct.

A friend teaches lower elementary at a magnet school, one particular student lives with her grandmother (dad is worthless, mom is dead or in jail). Her grandmother got quite sick at one point, so much so that she needed to be in a hospital for weeks. The daughter went to live with the dad during this time.

At some point shortly thereafter the child comes in with an odd smell. After a day or two the teacher finally took her to the school nurse. The nurse finds out that the girl (well under 10yrs old) has a venereal disease. It seems daddy decided to use her to make some money while grandma was in the hospital

Many of the kids that come into the school from "underprivileged" families reek of pot because their parent(s) can't be bothered to put the shite down long enough for their kids' clothes to not smell like a skunk wiped its arse on them.

These kids can be put in the best schools with the best teachers, but without having positive role models at home to emulate, much of that educational resource goes to shite the moment they leave the school environment.
