Neither. Both are sweetened with aspartame- the difference is that Diet Coke is an original flavor and Coke Zero is based on Coke classic. There are health risks to aspartame, but cancer isn't one of them

I only drink Coke Zero when I drink soda. I don't like reg Coke and hate Diet Coke.
I feel Coke Zero is made from angels and has healing powers.

The only scientificy things I think I know about the subject is my wife's o-chem professor at UGA said diet coke causes cancer. And at the time I worked with a Mormon who was pretty strict about stuff he put in his body, as part of his religion, but he would drink coke zero, but not diet coke.
What brings me to the question is that I was at a non alcoholic kids bday this afternoon but there were lots of free sodas, but the only sugar free one was diet coke, which I never drink. I put down two of them.

What is the age cutoff? 69;and cancer free. Diet Coke drinker for fifty years. Some people become alcoholics and some like Trump and I go the DC route. Caffeine free preferred.

My mom’s pcp says to drink Diet Coke if you want - if you live long enough you’re going to get cancer anyway
She switched back to regular cokes, though.

Not really. I'm absolutely addicted to nicotine gum
But when I need some caffeine mid-day, I'd rather have a Coke than anything else. It's funny this is frowned upon, but drinking 5 cups of coffee per day usually isn't.
ETA - I'm absolutely addicted to caffeine.
