Sure, there might be good content, but from the links my sister sends me, you have to wade through a ton of absolute garbage to find a tiny bit of good content.
The bigger issue is people saying there's better content on tiktok than IG or Facebook. As if that's what the internet is limited to. It's scary. I grew up on the internet when it was mostly unregulated (turn of the 21st century, and even then the party was over for the OGs) and people thought I was a fricking weirdo as an 8 year old for sitting on the computer all day. Those same people now like to joke about internet culture, and they can't comprehend what the internet was supposed to be versus what it has turned into, at least on a mass scale.
If you're looking for good content on subjects in which you're interested, it's not like you're limited to 1 of 5 sites. There's a plethora of content out there, a lot of it garbage, but a lot of it really solid stuff, away from the main socials.
The issue with thinking TikTok is the best content and most accessible is that people who use content for that reason are the same people (generally) who lack the skills to look into a video that pops up that might be feeding them bullshite.

I was particularly fond of the Milk Crate challenge. Not only did it have a high chance of removing the morons from society, but it was also damned entertaining.

I like the Walker Hayes videos.
He seems like a pretty cool guy! I love that when he hit it big he bought all his lids inflatables for the front yard for Christmas since they couldn't afford them before.
