Did you read the OP? There's no registry. Besides that, I haven't seen him in a decade, and I haven't had time to shop with my recent work schedule.

I got a stack of $100 in ones. Then put a hundred on each side and changed the band to say $10,000. Then vacuum sealed it.
He was in shock and I think it pissed him the frick off when it was only $300, but it was funny as hell.

I usually do $100-200 on the registry.

The biggest crock of shite is the various brunches, bridal and couple showers, etc on top of the actual wedding. Some people expect presents at all these events as well. I draw the line at wedding gifts and wouldn't expect more than that from my own friends. After you factor in wedding flights, wedding hotels, bachelor party flights and hotels, etc it gets out of hand really fast.

The Vietnamese do it right . Nothing but cash . The couples start their life with piles of cash instead of blenders . If that’s trashy , I’m all for trashy.

I dont understand how every poster of the O-T makes well over $150,000 a yr, has their house paid off, pays cash for a new truck and fully funds their retirement to the max but if a friend gets married, they only give them $100 ??

If someone gave me 100 dollars as a gift, for any occasion, and I wasnt satisfied, I feel like I'd be a shitty person.

Especially considering how much people spend on weddings. It can get ridiculous.
