A good mustache/beard trimmer is one that is sharp enough so that it actually cuts the hair instead of pulling it. Also it is designed such that holding it/handling it gives you enough control to keep your lines straight. It also helps if it's easy to clean.

Hope that helps.

I've had great luck with my el cheapo drugstore brand beard trimmer. I just keep the blades well oiled and put away in a cabinet to keep them away from shower steam.

last one i had, was great at beginning, then just started pulling the hairs out.

Not needing it for metro sexual pencil beards, just 2 trim mustache, and keep any facial hair clean/trimmed.

Philips/Norelco Oneblade or Oneblade Pro for more length/control options.

A year ago I asked the same question and there were a million different answers. Went to War Mart and bought this one because it was under $25 and I thought if it sucked Id pitch it and by another. I charged it once. I use it almost every week and I am yet to charge it again. It works great and the lithium ion battery last FOREVER. Highly recommend.

I have hair clippers, but you cant use them to trim the mustache, blades are 2 big and bulky.

I'll give those recommended a look, especially the weed eater option.
