It varies with people but decent running is usually anywhere between 7.5-9.5 minutes a mile due to height and build

I'm running a 5k on Saturday after not running for ~4 years. I'm aiming for ~8 minutes per mile.

You can do it. You're going to have to push yourself hard though unless you're in good shape by other means

I'm pretty much built to run a long way in at a decent pace 6'5'' 185 with these legs helps.

I won't lie, though....I'm nervous. I'm running with a girl I met a few weeks ago. I really hope she doesn't try to get after it

Oh you'll be good then. It's a lot easier to push yourself when chicks are watching

I figure if I start to hit a wall, I can just hide behind her and race walk my little heart out.

8:30 is the slowest a young guy can run and stay in the military...(except navy)

9 minute miles will get you kicked out.

If she has big knockers she won't be running at a pace you can't keep up with

For one mile? I'm assuming that he's running more than just one.

No 3 miles and the navy has the same pace but the PT is 1.5 miles. 12:30 is the cutoff for 1.5 miles. I ran it in 8:44 one time. I was also 155 lbs and running 6 miles every day

I heard the Air Force does their pt on stationary bikes
