When he was on WBRZ he was doing the sports one night and he showed a Nascar clip from that day of a terrible wreck and he went "Bam" and did that goofy smile. He then did the slow mo of the same wreck and did it like three times . "Bam-bam-bam". Then he smiled, laughed, talked about how awesome the wreck was and signed off.
I turned the channel to ESPN and they were solemnly going over the same wreck and showing the just-deceased driver with his wife and kids while his pit crew wept.
I called WBRZ and asked to speak to Jordy. To my surprise he got on the phone. I said "you do realize that guy you were joking about died in that car, right?". There was like 10 seconds of silence and he said "are you sure, I didn't know that"....
The next night he led with an apology.
Probably not Jordy's finest moment. But hey, he corrected his error so he gets credit for that.

And have you noticed how not only close their names are, but their voices sound exactly the same.

He was pretty much the media face of LSU, like it or not, from the late 90's to about 2010
I moved to California in the mid-90s and he was on local BR TV. When I moved to Atlanta in the early 2000's he was on every LSU related program I found access to.

I liked Jordy more than Gordy (lol rhyming names) as the sideline reporter. That let Gordy do the postgame show with Hanagriff which was by far the best combo for that show.

When Ed Buggs got popped for cocaine and it was pretty much instantly known-even before WBRZ acknowledged - he was missing from the 6 pm newscast. Friend of mine and I were watching and he called and asked for Ed. When they told him he wasn't available he said " well you just tell him the Snowman called and he needs to call me back." I thought that was pretty funny.
And I've met Jordy a few times. He's an alright guy who has parlayed a decent basketball game into a career.

Saw him out at Mooyahs probably 1-2 months ago. He had kids with him & IIRC, a woman. Think I noticed a wedding ring too, but not sure.

I see him driving around the neighborhood in an lsu golf cart all the time. He has small kids with him and looks old so I assumed they were grandkids.

103.7 in laf at 2 is where you can find him. I actually enjoy the shite out of his show being that the rest of their local hosts are terrible.
Ben Love's show is solid
