Burgers start out pretty good, but in a couple of locations many of the employees were on probation or were ex-cons, so the end product could vary greatly.

Whataburger is more expensive than In-n-out.
If you just want a normal cheeseburger then stick with in-n-out. But Whataburger has speciality burgers. The best being the patty melt IMO. Far superior to a normal in-n-out burger.
The breakfast is also GOATed as far as fast food. The honey butter chicken biscuit and breakfast burger are better than anything you can get at any other fast food establishment.

Not sure why I read in-n-out instead of 5 guys.
It is way cheaper than 5 guys and it has more than just a normal burger on the menu. They are not even really direct competitors IMO.

I have been to whataburger in San Antonio at least 100 times after 2am and I’ve never seen anything like this.

Whataburger is as big in texas as chick fil a is in the “true” southern states.
Nothing manufactured about it. But it was definitely better 10 years ago.
