Chris Jericho is my first thought, just looked it up, didn't realize he held the record.

When did “Bruiser” Bob Sweetan become “Mr. Piledriver” Bob Sweetan? Is it as simple as a heel/face nickname, or did I miss something when I was a kid? Wasn’t he a dirt bag/criminal in real life?

I’ve always though the model Rick Martel was tailor made for an IC championship run. Cant believe he never held it. Seems like the perfect upper mid card heel seemed to carry the belt back in the day.
