First they have been doing amusement parks since 1960, second they have tons of money and other ventures, third they like doing amusement parks and regardless of the skin color coming in the gate it’s a cash cow. They can sit on that thing and let it rust forever should they want if governor moron tells them they have to.
Well, the topic was "estimate the value." I took that to mean "what would it sell for on the open market." So maybe the people who own it now are savvy and well-funded, but the question, at least how I interpreted it, has more to do with the people who'd be doing the buying than the people doing the selling.

Just the dirt under the park itself, not the additional real estate, is worth several million just from location alone and that’s only the park proper.
All of the other real estate, the Kleinpeter tracts adjacent to and the property across Highland which stretches about 2/3 of the way to Pecue Lane is worth multiple millions.

Overhead and insurance are a ball buster unless you can get bodies thru the gates which do not appear to be on the horizon soon.
Certain bodies keep other bodies out though

Maybe $750,000

They could sell the rides to the "amusement park" east of lake Charles on I-10. Did that survive the hurricane BTW?

I'd honestly peg it around the real estate value plus scrap. Maybe $750,000?
The real estate at highland and I-10?

What are the odds that will ever be a functioning amusement park again?
Why would it not be a functioning amusement park? Like another poster said, it's not like the place is even for sale

I passed that recently and I'm pretty sure the big blue slide lost a large chunk during the storm.

the property itself is probably worth a lot more
