It depends.

If they are clearly taking advantage of you and you are the only one getting all the work where as other people are not, then go talk to your boss.

But I wouldn't complain about more work. The more stuff you are responsible for, the more valuable you are to your company. Have a plan to ask for a raise.

This is what happened to me. Ended up catching another companies attention and they gave me a 45% raise and double the annual bonus to leave. Current company took a major blow.

Adapt and learn new skills and you’ll be rewarded. Don’t slack.

Is it a permanent thing, or are you just picking up the work while they fill another position?

Regardless, if you're going to look for another job, it's always easier to do when you have a job, so I'd do the work to the best of your ability in the meantime.

I have discovered that in this economic environment you can just not do the work dumped on you.

Just say you don't have capacity. What are they going to do? Fire you. Unlikely at this point.

This is not my experience. Doing extra work results in more extra work, not raises.

pretty sure that is called work and keep doing my job or find somewhere else to work. It falls under that other duties as assigned portion of your job description that you sign

Has been happening to me for 2+ years. Finally had enough and found something else. Got a 40% pay increase in an industry I enjoy.

We usually hire people that know nothing about the job. They don’t even contribute for a few weeks while we train them, then we try to just give them a little more at a time so they aren’t overwhelmed . Most quit before they even learn whole the job,(and get a raise) wasting our time and money. It’s frustrating. Dont be that guy.

I will make this suggestion to you. If this bothers you, it's best that you never own your own business.
