You're right...no one has ever made something of their life after having a child at a young age.

Should've put her on BC as soon as you found out about the boyfriend.

As someone who fathered a child at 16, this thread makes my head hurt.

Yeah, but you're talking about the exceptions, not the trend.

Despite the haters this is true. Say goodbye to any hopes and dreams.

But I see nothing wrong with refusing to raise the child.. Telling her she can find a way to do it on her own, or that you'll help her with finding adoption options.

yep. I value my daughters life and well being over an unborn bastard child any day.My job is to raise an educated, self reliant woman. Having a child at such a young age pretty much jeopardizes years of upbringing to create a successful life.

Or maybe it is a wake up call that gets her on the right path and she graduates from college and is a great provider and role model for her child.

she'll get 30k in debt working towards her sociology degree, become a stripper to help finish her degree then get knocked up again.

She needs to move to watson.

That abortion would be in the back of her head for the rest of her life.

and that child would be her responsibility for the rest of her life.

I have known quite a few woman (5 or so) that have had abortions, they all seem pretty ok with it.

If your idea of life is sitting in a trailer with 5 kids from 3 different fathers, none of which are in the picture, living off of government cheese, then yeah I guess not. Pregnancy at 15 is a damn fine start to having that life.

Wow, really? So because someone has a child in their teens, they have no hope of success? I happen to know a few ladies that had kids in high school and make more money than you may ever.

You can definitely tell the difference in those posters who are still too immature to understand the real world.

Trying to shove my morality on to other peoples kids

Let us analyze that.
In this corner, dead potential family member, killed for expediency, before he started. In corner number two, living member of own family, with unlimited human potential.

"Shoving morality" or not, in my world that's pretty fricking simple.
But I also love my family and friends with an idealistic abandon and would see another family member as a blessing. And I'm a skeptical agnostic bro-so I'm not being "Churchy". And maybe those crazy Church people might be on to something concerning the value of innocent human life....

But is it a good Finnish school? A sociology degree from the Finnish Harvard would be kind of cool

Do you think it is a given that her emotional "well being" will be intact after having an abortion?

She doesn't have options if she's pregnant at 15.

Your job is also to set an example for your child.

Pushing her to have an abortion at 15 sets the example you think you need to?
