I don't think agreeing to keep the child would be "stepping up"

I think that only happens when you take care of your kid with hardly anyone else's help.

We'll agree to disagree here; I see her stepping up and taking the responsibility for her actions. Now later on when she wants you to baby sit every weekend, I'll change my tune

Well she's 15 with a record of making bad decisions, what do you think?

You had parents to mooch off of so your poor decisions didn't frick your life up.

It wasn't even about money.

And my parents love their grand kids unconditionally so they're happy to have them over every now and then.

I don't think it fricked up their lives.

Granted, my wife and I had already moved out since we were 20 but we still needed some help or we wouldn't have made it this far.

Oh, totally. Made me LOL when GrammarKnotwhatever said she did this because she wasn't getting attention at home.

Teenagers from all background have sex. It's the age.

I agree, you shouldn't have children

You just haven't found someone you want to have children with yet.

I'm in the same boat as you. My wife and I were pregnant and married at 19. My daughter is now a Freshman at Tech.

It worked out okay for me because I admittedly mooched off of my parents big time for years. I love my kids and I love my wife and my life now, but it isn't what I would want for my daughter.

Kids quickly become your life (no ragrets)

If you view that as a sentence or punishment, then sorry for you

The main thing we mooched was babysitting
We both worked restaurants so we alternated most nights but on weekends we both worked and needed some help.

I don't think anyone will say that they want their daughter to get pregnant as a teen

but if she does, I'm not going to cut her and the baby off

would it be a burden for me and my wife? Of course, but as a parent your main goal in life is seeing your child become a successful adult.

It's really not up to you. Your brain is hard wired to produce babies with a suitable mate. When you meet the one the urge will be undeniable
