Is your shed not locked?

Here's the deal, I have 7' fence all the way around my back yard. There is only one way in the back yard other than jumping the fence and that gate has a coded keypad and deadbolt that no one knows. My shed was not locked. It is now, but never really worried about anyone getting in my backyard as long as the gate was locked.

You just helped a poor person start their own business.

I bet you can get a tax break for that.

In that case, I'm ready to rumble. If I was just in my regular boxers with my dong swaying in the wind, I would have to reconsider.

shite like that only keeps honest people out. If a crackhead wants your shite bad enough he will climb your 7' fence obviously but I doubt he would do it with some bolt cutters in tow. A padlock could have saved your shite.

My dogs would've scared the dude away long before I walked out there. However, if he was dumb enough to hang around, I'd sic my 60 lb. shepherd-mix bitch on him; she'd likely rip off one of his hands.

My big arse dog would go after him and lick him to death. Assault by tongue and tail wagging.

Funny thing is, all he took was lawn mower, blower and weed-eater. He even filled everything up with gas before he left.

Sounds like an entrepreneur about to set up a new lawn maintenance business in your hood.

To the original question, you can't be sure HE's not armed (or has picked up one of your tools he could use as a weapon), so IMO, go inside, lock the door, arm myself, call the police.

So he lifted the lawn mower over the locked fence? Strong arse crackhead; definitely don't mess with him.

Move to a better neighborhood.

What am I talking about. I live in Uptown New Orleans. You know how in Montana you see bears roam into garages foraging for food and then they leave when busted? Consider this native animal the same.

we have an idea who it was....local crack head that comes around looking for odd jobs...I always turn him away but my wife lets him wash her car. He knows I dont use my lawn equipment because he see's the Mexicans cutting my grass and taking care of my yard. Plus we have him on video, wearing black hoodie, black pants.

No, you can get out you just cant get in. He jumped the fence to get in the yard and opened the gate to let himself out.

At 6 AM on a Sunday before coffee, I likely would be too out of it to even realize what was happening.

What do you do?

I would walk out with my 130 lb mastiff on a leash and with my 40 caliber. I would tell him that if he makes a move towards me then I will shoot him. I will also tell him that he has 10 seconds to get off my property or I will let her off the leash. And that next time he does not get the benefit of her on a leash.

Edit: Actually he would've gotten attacked. I double check each morning to make sure the gate is close then I let the dogs out. I wouldn't have seen him until after the dogs are out.
