Obviously you take the guy with the gun... or you'll get sniped and none of the rest will matter.
The second choice, I could see anything but the rats and eagles being a good option.

It doesn't say you don't have your own weapon, and also doesn't say you're just out in the open. 3 grizzlies attacking will easily take out one guy with a gun.

And, unlimited shells would save you from everything except 10,000 fricking rats.
Is everyone just overlooking that? Do they not know how big a rat can get? They are fast, mean frickers. 10,000 of them? You're done for. The dude with the shotgun can't load enough shells fast enough.

Honestly, I don't think any 2 of those choices has a chance in hell at stopping the other 7.
