Edit: Thanks everyone. We have left a phone call for the owner to ask if this applies to us, since we have paid in full. If we need to pay it, we will, it's not worth upsetting our child over.

Is the kid a boy or girl? This is important in this case.

Baller Dads of the O-T, what would you do?

Obvious answer is buy the dancing school, fire the person in charge of finances, build it into the best dancing school in the country, then leave it to said child when she's an adult just as a gift

Surely there is some form of contract you've signed at some point with them that covers this kind of thing.

The person in charge of the finances = the director who is also the head teacher and the founder.

Then I have to hire someone to replace her and pay that person - cause I sure AF ain't dealing with these dance moms.

Can we get pics of the dance instructors? (Obviously only the ones of legal age) Might require an in-person meeting.

I wouldn't say there is a "contract" but there was a fee bill and we have a receipt.

Do you have a receipt that shows paid in full for the year? If so, then you have a completed contract and your kid's tuition is paid for until the next cycle. No receipt, then pay the price or ask for a refund.

Just be prepared to walk away and hear it from the kid and wife. Or choke up the money, shut up and sit to the side.

Most important question, if you pay the extra does it get you a pass to skip the damn dance recital? Because a pass to skip one of those is valued at $350 as per the OT.

Did it say paid in full or any kind of total cost language?

State law requires them to give you 3 1/2 days notice before a price increase. The played themselves. You should tell them to get fricked and that you're not going to buy a full page ad in the program.

I have a receipt that shows the total due for the year, and an equal amount paid.

Weirdly, I enjoy watching my children do the activities that make them happy. Now, I generally hang out in the hall when she isn't on stage.
