Actually, you'd (assuming you are white) would probably watch it more. Although black athletes are part of most major sports, they have embraced basketball as their cultural sport to identify with. The domination has made whites less interested. They dont play, and Larry Bird is Michael Jordan. It would definitely be more popular than MLB is today.

This is actually interesting. The cheap labor would have to be filled somehow- when the trains were built cross country irish and chinese immigrants were used. The agricurtural south would either need similar labor or not be as agricultural. It isnt far fetched to say the south might have been more industrial.
