Left shoulder replacement
Right shoulder cuff repair.
My body is calling in the debt I put it through for the past 60 years.

a couple days before my birthday this year I had a freak out moment when I couldn't remember how old I was. I had to finger count

Playing full court basketball for first time in a while. Lower body couldn’t keep with upper body.

I’m still surprised when I fill birth control prescriptions for girls who were born the year I graduated high school.

At first, I think “Tsk tsk.” Then I realize that girl is actually old enough to be in college.

It just doesn’t feel like it’s been that long since high school. I don’t feel fully grown up, have not even mastered making a roux yet.
