Growing up I thought I could do everything (President, doctor, pro athlete, whatever), but not really focused on any one thing. And who would have known then that I could become President without any real qualification?
In college at 18 I bought a cheap camera to photograph girlfriends. Many, many years later: teach analytical reasoning, and photograph beautiful girls. Logic and females do not mix.

I wanted to be an Archeologist as a kid. Presumably from watching Indiana Jones and assuming all they did was get in gun fights, travel to exotic places, find cool artifacts and pick up chicks. Seemed like a fun gig...

Wanted to play college football then on to the NFL. That usually doesn't work out for 5'10 170lb white boys that only know how to play linebacker.
On to realistic dreams, I wanted to be a marine biologist followed closely by being a firefighter.
I did not do either but my daughter, without me ever saying a word, is hell bent on becoming a marine biologist when she goes off to college next year.

Special effects filmmaker

Went to the Smithsonian and ate the space ice cream
Was a television and film production manager.
Own a business in a completely different industry now.
