Growing up in india. Most of us either wanted to be an Engineer or a doctor.I'm doing it for corporation but I only wanted to be in research though.

I wanted to be a doctor or a pharmacist as a kid (basically just for the money), I'm now a healthcare IT consultant.

Wanted to be a commercial pilot, then realized I did well in math and started to look into aeronautical engineering, then just went with mechanical since it was the most well rounded engineering degree. Still sometimes wish I would have done the pilot thing. Was accepted to LA Tech's program with a scholarship and everything.

Wanted: architect
Actual: sports marketing

I always wanted to be a pilot and I'm lucky enough to be able to do something that I love.

I wanted to be Jack Lamberts replacement as middle linebacker for the Steelers or a door gunner in the army.

Actual: spent years between engineering and military contracting.

I wasn't much of a dreamer as a kid. However, I always liked judges and wanted to be a SCOTUS Chief Justice.
