I know a guy who had a 0.6 at West Alabama. My personal worst was 1.8, I believe.

I've never been able to understand that mentality, as if it's somehow acceptable or cool to simply blow off an opportunity not available to a large subset of the population.

I had a cousin who went to Alabama, partied his freshman year away, and had to drop out after pulling a sub-1 gpa. His parents refused to foot the bill after that, and it took him 10 long years to work his way through school elsewhere before he graduated and was finally able to reap the benefits of a degree that he took for granted a decade prior.

During my partying days I rocked a 4.0 for three semesters... I then rocked. .25 for three straight. Took them that long to realize and kick me out.

Graduated with a 2.8. About to graduate again with a 3.0...but I rarely go to class and dont buy books because Im poor.

How the frick is it even possible to get a .69 in one semester? Like how is it mathematically possible? How many hours did you take?

My sister had a .389 after her first semester after her only passing grade was "Pass" for orientation. That's the worst I've ever heard of that's not a flat 0.0

college is easy and you jerked off 10 times a day but still got over a 3.0 blah blah, but you obviously aren't that.

Oh, no. I can see how it came off as that. All I really meant to say is that if a reasonable, not incredible, amount of effort is put forward, that should be enough to get a person through undergrad. It doesn't kill a person to make it to most classes and read through the assigned reading.

Like 12 or 13. I think a couple of profs took pity on me and gave me a D.

The silver lining to the story is that I did take Tulane to the championship that semester, though.

Started out with a really high GPA, and then as I quickly lost interest in a system that is broken. I still got good grades in a lot of classes, but I also started taking classes that I shouldn't have been taking and didn't care what I got in them and that brought my gpa down a lot. I took a bunch of classes where the average grade for the class was a 2.1 and stuff. Still, would have graduated with a respectable gpa if I had been able to suffer spanish. But, I made up for that later.

If I had aimed to beat the system, I would have done things differently. If I wanted to learn, I am happy with what I did.

feel ya there, having to take 14 hours of spanish is miserable almost changed my major so i wouldn't have to take anymore.

Seriously, I would have failed every Spanish class if they didn't help me through. My brain simply doesn't work the way they taught it. I didn't respect the class one iota because of that. I moved to a spanish speaking country for awhile and went to classes there. My Spanish improved 1000%. They teach spanish entirely differently there. I wasn't there long enough to get as good as I would have liked, but still got a certificate of a certain spanish speaking ability. Want to go back and show it to my spanish teachers.

That's what I meant by making up for it.

I am concerned though. i dont know what I can do or major in with this gpa. Career prospects are doomed. Cant get into business school or human sciences. and i cant transfer. i AM FRICKED.. lost my scholarship too

Jesus dude, I had 1.7 after 4 semesters and got up to a 3.0+ with a 3.5 major GPA in engineering. Don't you have like 2 semesters under your belt? Do you know how easy that is to turn around. Quit being a lazy piece of shite, grow some balls, and either try harder or drop out and start flipping burgers.
