how are you at a 1.9 with no friends? you should be buried in the books with your alleged lack of a social life.

Start taking your life seriously. Go to all your classes and occasionally crack a book. If you at least go to every class there is no reason you should ever get below a B in any given class at LSU. The school simply isn't that difficult.

I got a buckshot 1st semester. Told my dad I didn't want to go to college but he wouldn't take no for an answer. I showed him. After working a year for min. wage college looked like pretty good. I graduated with a 2.9

had multiple pledge brahs who got 0.0s... one of them figured out halfway thru the semester that he was failing everything, sold his textbooks, and used the money to buy a good deal of an illicit substance

Yeah, this comment is pretty stupid and that's coming from someone that graduated in accounting with a 3.1 and passed all 4 parts of the CPA exam on the first try.

Dude in my dorm got a 0.0 first semester. He dropped out after that.

I had an Anthropology class with him and I'd always remind him when the test was a couple days before. He'd always act like he had been studying but one time he didn't even show up to the test

Mine: 0.00 - Spring '05 @ LSU

I finished my first year at LSU with something along the lines of a cumulative 0.08.

First semester I had all F's and one D. Second semester was all F's; I didn't step foot on campus once the entire time unless I was dropping someone off (you could still drive on campus).

The only reason I ever got below a B was that I skipped a lot of classes that semester in a class. I got above a 3.1 in econ from LSU. The difficult part about college is learning how to be an adult and apply yourself. It isn't because the classes are tough, especially if you are in your first two years and taking core classes.

if i dont fail out, I will work my arse of in summer school. I know, its a fricking shame. Atleast all the other guys in this thread who failed out had fun and partied while it lasted. I just goofed off and jerked of in my dorm room while I drove my gpa into the ground. And there are some hard classes in LSU. Frick accoutnimg

Had a buddy get a 0.0 his first semester of college. He commuted 45 miles everyday and always went to class. I'm still wondering how it happened.

Texas Tech running back and fringe Heisman candidate Byron Hanspard had a 0.0 GPA and was allowed to play

quote:

Hanspard announced shortly after the end of the 1996 season that he would give up his last year of eligibility and enter the 1997 NFL Draft. An ordained Pentecostal minister, he said that he felt the NFL gave him a better opportunity to expand his ministry. However, he later became the source of controversy after it emerged that he had all but abandoned his studies during what turned out to be his last year in school, posting a 0.00 grade point average for the 1996 fall semester. In part because of this, Texas Tech withdrew from bowl consideration in 1997.

It only even came out b/c teachers who were forced to look the other way got pissed off and leaked it.

I already stated what I did in accounting and I definitely made more than one C going through LSU.

It isn't because the classes are tough

Maybe not as an econ major, I don't know. But I can assure you, not every accounting class is easy. I would assume that all of the upper level biology and chemistry classes for pre-med majors wouldn't be easy either. One can make good grades in these classes but quit acting like all you have to do is "crack a book". It doesn't work that way.
