I think we are related.

My favorite deal is when I go to fix one thing and I end fixing something else first to fix that thing.

Had to add a quart of oil to the truck after the 10 minute oil change place left me a quart low. Other than that a door handle on the truck. Will be fixing my pup in a week or so.

About 6 months ago my freezer stopped working, I realized the evaporator fan wasn't working. I tested the motor to make sure it was the culprit instead of the defrost timer or something else and it was pretty easy to replace. I still felt like I had accomplished something since I'm not the best handyman in the world.

Flashlight attachment on my magnifying glass. The copper contact piece for the batteries had turned green, so I cleaned it with vinegar.

Hmmm... Besides installing new devices, which I've done a lot of recently, I guess the last thing I "fixed" was one of my daughter's dolls.

She had an unfortunate accident and lost a leg. Luckily, my daughter got the doll to me quick enough where I was able to detect the issue, and quickly place the leg back in place, thus saving the doll from an early garbage can grave.

Besides work related stuff, and helping neighbors out the last thing I fixed was my original Nintendo that I kept in the attic for the day in the distant future when I would have the knowledge and the tools to repair.
After $7 in Radio shack parts and a few solder connections I once again can play my Contra and Super Mario Bros 3.
