Yep. Private school. Based on the other responses I can tell who else went to the same school.

Let's see.. There was "back of town". I think Semourville, but it was pronounced more along the lines of "see mo ville". Let me see if someone remembers the other names and I will get back with you.

He promised not to join a gang so he had no friends.

If we forgot a lock for our locker for gym we had to carry our bags with us the entire period. It was brutal running half a mile with 50 lbs of books and a football duffel bag full of practice clothes.

I guess gang is used loosely. But the point is, these kids from these areas use to fight each other... And they thought they were the bloods and crips, but since the colors were used to identify with each other, they were banned.. So even the people who were obviously not a part of these "gangs" couldn't wear a red or blue shirt. So if you were a 49ers fan, NYG fan... A fan of any team that was red or blue, you couldn't wear it because.. I guess some nerdy white kid could get beat up for wearing the wrong colors..

It made sense I guess, but it was dumb because it was obvious who were not in a "gang". Yall thinking too much into this, I am not saying it was like Compton or something.
