Sorry to hear about the divorce, but it's better now than later. And date a lot, don't be the relationship dude, and when you aren't trying to find the right one, she will magically appear.

Holy shite. Some people are just messed up in the head and need to give up on the idea of marriage.

Get on Tinder immediately. You'll probably get the herp, but it'll be worth it.

Ex left almost 4 years ago. After getting over the shock it's been great.
Do you know why divorces are so expensive?
Because they're fricking worth it

Why'd you get married? Besides the "we were in love" thing, was there a reason? Did you two even have respect for each other? Probably a good idea to think about that so you don't go into the next relationship and make the same mistake. And I'm not saying this as someone that's never made a mistake. I can think of two women that I would've married in my younger days that it turns out I didn't really respect as people. But hey I was having sex and we were having fun so why not?
For it to go off the rails so quickly it seems like there was a fundamental flaw in the relationship that you both decided to overlook.

Y'all were married for 1.5 years. Get over it the same way you would a girlfriend because it's pretty much the same thing in your situation.

Best way a woman gets over her man is to get under another one.

That's awesome Iron Lion and rare.

I wouldn't say that it's "awesome" considering it likely stems from an unplanned pregnancy, but it certainly is rare.

I'll give you something to cheer you up:
1. At least you didn't spend half you life with her and feel like she stole all those years from you
2. You don't have kids together, so you never have to see her again if you don't want to
3. Life goes on. Trust me
4. Your 30s are going to be the best years of your life
5. If you don't want to just date and are looking for something real, you should avoid dating for a while. You will get emotional and have feelings for someone you have no business even dating. Wait

Being afraid to be alone is a hell of a way to go through life. I used to think it applied only to women but men are just as guilty.
