Yeah it was a scary time in BR. My girlfriends dad bought her a 38 special, when he moved her there for her freshman year.

Slowed the trial down, but I have doubts his IQ was that low.

I remember them trying to get the insanity plea but I don't think it ever happened. Is he still on death row?

In his situation I would put the square peg in the round hole too.

Apparently still on death row.

The defense attorneys tried to say he was mentally retarded which by law would have spared him the death penalty.

My sister lived in the house on Stanford a few years after the murder took place. I don't think she knew when she moved in what exactly happened there.

They aren't required to disclose that a woman was brutally raped and murdered in the house they're trying to rent/sell to you?

Same. Sounds like the police had a lower IQ that DTL.

I'd image they're far enough away from the murders now to rent it out to some clueless college kid looking for a place near campus. Hell, I had no idea it had happened in the area and I attend LSU and am from Baton Rouge. Rent it to an upperclassman from Texas and they'll never have a clue.

I think it is illegal for a realtor to mention someone was killed in a house that is up for sale. Probably illegal to mention any crime took place.

From start to finish, Gillis was just a psychopathic frick who didn't give a damn. He was aided by the BRPD chasing their tail over DTL and not worrying about what some white dude who lived off Lee was doing to prostitutes.

Then there was the guy going around doing laundry and folding clothes while people slept. fricker never came to my house

During the DTL deal, chicks were always trying to sleep at my place or get me to sleep at their places. Fooled around a bunch, but most of it was them and a friend or two just being scared and wanting a dude there with them.

There was also a guy who drove around in a white silverado with the sticker "Not the killer" for a while. IIRC, he lived on Alvin Dark
