I was happy to get rid of it, but the funnest car I owned was a 1990 Mazda MX6. I bought it right before Christmas of 1989. Got in a convoy of four cars driving back to Dallas after Christmas in Ruston. We drove in excess of 90 mph on I-20 from Longview to Terrell. When we got to Hwy 80 the other three cars kept driving 90+ mph. I slowed down to 10 miles over the limit.
Since I had it, I've driven a Hybrid Civic, two Camry's and a Tacoma.

My 2003 Buick LeSabre.
Tank of a car with a 3.8L OHV, but got up to 38-42mpg on hwy.
Front heavy, which imbued god-like FWD snow traction; it was so much fun to drive in the snow - I could whip her around corners with ease and she’d pull out of the turn every time with authority.
Easy to work on - I even replaced upper intake manifold and lower gasket myself by watching YouTube.
I gifted her to a co-worker, and she probably saved her life when someone blew through a stop sign and t-boned her.

I love these threads but I hate them. I think about this almost every day to the point I hesitate to look up a pic of my old truck, because of nostalgia.
- Don Draper
quote:
Nostalgia - its delicate, but potent. Teddy told me that in Greek nostalgia literally means “the pain from an old wound.” It’s a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone. This device isn’t a spaceship, it’s a time machine. It goes backwards, and forwards… it takes us to a place where we ache to go again. It’s not called the wheel, it’s called the carousel. It lets us travel the way a child travels - around and around, and back home again, to a place where we know are loved.

My 1994 Cobra Mustang. Black with black leather interior.
After awhile I got tired of it as a daily driver and sold it. This is a 98 but pretty much the same.

I had the same year without a/c. My Dad bought it as a repo. He moved out to Arizona in 77 and it would pass their emissions standards. I bought it from him and brought it back to Louisiana. I sold it in 1981 for the money to help with a down payment on our first house in Prairieville.

1973 Charger.
No, wait, 1966 SS 396 Chevelle.
Or maybe my 1970 Challenger.
IDK, I can't make up my mind.

My husband sold a 1969 Mustang fastback he rebuilt about 25 years ago. He regrets it bitterly to this day. Considers it one of his greatest mistakes.

Those were the shite when I was a senior in high school in '83. There were about 5 of them in the parking lot, second only to the '83 Cutlass Supremes. You had it made with either of those 2 cars.

I had the '94 Impala SS. I bought the 1st one sold in Louisiana at Gerry Lane in Baton Rouge. It was a limited production auto. Loved that car and it would fly.

2006 Chevy 2500 Duramax with 4x4 shift on the floor. When I sold it I didn't realize it was the last diesel made that was worth a crap.
1979 Ford F150 4x4.

Oh if I had the money, the restoration project would be under way.
