My 2 year old does some things earlier than a lot of kids do at his age, so sometimes I think he might be smarter than the average kid. This weekend I saw him throw some of his peas on the back deck and start licking them off of the ground with the dogs

I don’t even have kids yet and this already comes off as something every parent ever thinks.

And you’re dumb enough to share this on the internet and presumably in real life, so despite what you think, if he is yours, then he’s likely dumb too.

Right now, I wouldn't do anything different than the norm, it's too early IMO.

To an extent. We certainly thought that with our first at times, but he turned out to be mostly average. He does do well in school, but has to really try hard.

Our second was clearly different, and was operating at a much higher level than the first. But given our experience with the first, we didn't cultivate it all that much. Once she started school, it really accelerated. School is pretty easy for her, even in the gifted/advanced classes.

Kid is 20 months and he can already count to 20 and knows easily 500 words. You can basically have a conversation with this kid. It's unbelievable.

But it's also kind of freaking me out. How do I channel his energy into positive endeavours? Do I need to send this kid to some kind of x men school for geniuses?

He'll knock up a bitch in 9th grade and be a plant operator. They're all geniuses and smarter than the engineers for sure.

Peaked way too early....all downhill from here.

My advice forget starting a college fund and start a future bail money fund.
