Got to be a meth lab inside. Santa is to throw off those insanely smart detectives.

The man replies that he had not noticed the Santa, though it's been standing tall for at least 6 weeks and is at least 6 feet tall itself. When I pointed it out, he concurred it was unusual and he had not seen his neighbor in some time. He agreed to keep an "eye" on the place.

I knocked on the door. No one was there.

I thought the update was funny, man.

I also think your neighbor is either dead or a fleeing criminal. Best of luck.

With no vehicle and no activity, I'm betting they moved, and didn't take their Santa with them.

Maybe so. Perhaps a forclosure?

That is entirely possible but the power should be shut off. If it's someone's rent house you'd think they would have at least gone by to check on the place. The killer may have stolen the car. Happens all the time.

Be a man, slip through a back window and check the place out. Bring some salt and a crucifix to ward off the ghosts of the people who passed.

Good point. I talked to my neighbor, a trusted friend. Ironically he's been a funeral in NOLA all weekend. We're going later to check it out. I'll post updates if anything happens. I don't want to further disappoint.

Thanks. I just want give back to the board for all it's given me. I'm a humble public servant.

I've only skimmed the thread, but this isn't the house immediately next door or across the street, right?

Nope. Around the corner or something.
At this point, we'll only be satisfied if rotting corpse is found and OP keeps the Santa.

No, it's not far but not an immediate neighbor. That's why I've been gathering intel.

We'll go over between 9 and 10. I'm breaking out cigars, like The Burbs

I feel like it was my fault for the long reply.

Still in.
