Any historic sites/fun things to do around there? Outdoor activities, things to do within an hour or so's drive
Gave him what he asked for.

Are there any state parks or camps to stay at within a couple hours of Columbia?

Charleston is a cool city. The Firefly distillery is neat too, but I think that's closer to Savannah

How much time to kill?
-Congaree State Park is really cool, not a bad drive.
-Lunch in Vista (Gervais Street), plenty of options.
-USC's campus is actually really pretty, the Horseshoe is beautiful in the fall.
-The river walk is pretty as well, the trail is better on the West Columbia side (across the river).
-Check out River Rat Brewery (near the football stadium), they are open most afternoons, it's a good time.
-Echo the statehouse, there are free tours given everyday.

Cola? When I went to Carolina nobody said Cola
I know, right. It's Coke. Even if it's Dr. Pepper. See? Mid-westerners can learn.
