Will be there from Sunday until next Saturday for work. The Midwest sucks. Any suggestions?

Drink, eat, troll dating apps? What do you expect is that different from any other major American city?

Go take a tour of the Indy speedway. The museum is cool and they have a shuttle bus that takes everyone for a lap around the track. You can get on the track and kiss the bricks.

That's obviously why I made this thread. Bar/Restaurant reccomendations, etc. Planned on catching a Pacers game but they're on a road trip.

Indianapolis gets a lot of shite for being a nothing city, but they host so many conferences and conventions that it's not a bad city at all to visit. You can't go wrong with the nearest non-chain restaurant closest to your hotel.

That dish is famous. Plus the Indy 500 area. Only thinks I liked

As I’m getting older the allure of the big city is beginning to wane for me and I’m much more intrigued by small town America.

I do like the idea of extremely dense places where everyone walks and takes the subway but the only place really like that in the US is NYC. Big cities built around the car all seem the same

Depends where in Indy you are staying. Downtown has a ton of stuff to do at night. Ruth's Chris is pretty freaking good (especially if you're able to expense it.)

If you want to go the sports route go to Butler's game on Wednesday. They play in the arena used for the state championship game in Hoosiers. That paired with IMS pretty much covers your sports bases since the Pacers are out of town. The other option Wednesday is to head down to Bloomington for an IU basketball game. (They also have a game on the 7th.)
