That is my thought exactly. She grew up going to places like Mexico and Hawaii, so she has done it all. I, on the other hand, have never left the states so I am excited to get out and do some snorkeling.
Well make sure to tell her that. If she is a decent person and knows you haven't traveled out of the country she should be willing to compromise and go do stuff you want to do outside the resort. Have fun and congrats

I'm doing the same but staying in Playa Del Carmen June 14-20. Going to the Mayan Ruins and snorkeling. Someone told me about a website call Xel-Ha. Said they have some cool stuff. They thought it would be great at first and then had a great time so I might look into that

Probably how it will end up going. I've never been to Mexico so I thought maybe snorkeling would be cool to do.
Snorkeling would be cool as long as you avoid the crocs.

This is where we stay every time we go to Mexico. Isla is fun as frick, especially if you know some locals who can take you to places where the tourists don't normally go.

If this cat is doing all of these adventures yall recommend he fricked up paying for the excellence. Hotels are cheap as frick down there- do that and excursions. At excellence stay and frick and drink your balls off.

That's why I only want to do snorkeling. I'm paying a premium for the resort so I don't mind staying there for most of the trip. That's what the fiancee wanted so I obliged. But I want to get out for a few hours to snorkel.

Swim with the dolphins is a cool option. A couple people from our office just got back and loved it.
Last year some of our friends went snorkeling with Whale Sharks, the videos they sent back were unbelievable, huge critter encounters.
Stay at the resort for most of the time, you paid for the food and booze (and sex
) so you might as well take full advantage.
Booze cruise is cool at night, Coco Bongo puts on a neat night/early morning show.
The boats or jet skis to snorkel are pretty good. Been to Xel Ha and Xcaret and they were OK but those were from Playa. From Cancun I'd skip the long ride.

Yep. If you don't plan on leaving the hotel room, just save your money and skip the vacation. You can hump at home for free.
