What to do in Cancun--Honeymoon Advice

Going to Cancun June 21-26 for the honeymoon and am wondering if there are any can't miss things to do or see near there. We are staying at the Excellence Playa Mujeres resort and I know the fiancee is completely content with just staying at the resort the whole time and sitting by the pool. I, however, would like to possibly go snorkeling or something like that so long as it doesn't take up an entire day.
Any advice from the travelers of the OT? TIA

Go to beach and drink.
Have mid day sex.
Take nap.
Go back to beach for drinks and sunset.
Go to dinner.
Have sex.
Go to sleep.
Start over next day.

There will be a concierge at the resort selling packages if you really want to get out. There's fun stuff but the resorts are so nice you may not want to leave

Plan an activity every day. You will have a 10x better time.

Booze cruise to the little island just off the coast
Jet skis

Go to Chichen Itza. It's a few hours away but its definitely the coolest thing in that area.
The water is also pretty beautiful and there's some pretty dank snorkeling. Theres some cool booze cruising boat trips that i'd recommend as well.

Probably how it will end up going. I've never been to Mexico so I thought maybe snorkeling would be cool to do.

Years ago when I went to Cancun we did some tour where we drove our own mini speed boats out to some reef to go snorkeling at. That was actually a lot of fun.
Look at some of the recommendations in the Playa thread(ex: Xcaret, Xplor, etc). Playa is like 45 minutes away from Cancun.

Dude, do the activities. I went with my girl at the time and we fricked all over the place while there while doing a different thing every day and hitting clubs every night.

Yeah just laying around the resort would get boring after the second day. Why go to a foreign country if you aren't gonna even leave the resort?

But for real go snorkeling, take a catamaran out for a day, go do some adventuring. Bars and beache get old after a few days

That is my thought exactly. She grew up going to places like Mexico and Hawaii, so she has done it all. I, on the other hand, have never left the states so I am excited to get out and do some snorkeling.

Take the ferry to Isla Mujeres for a day trip. Spend a day at Playa del Carmen. Do Tulum or Chichen Itza.
