That's not hipster bruh go a little further by UT and that's where the hipsters are. Rainey is just an awesome string of bars

Rainey Street is an awesome concept. Just a string of homes turned into bars. Yeah, a couple may be hipster. Just walk next door. Lol

Put on your best pair of skinny jeans, drink craft beer, scream keep Austin weird, smoke pot, get arrested, go see a bad football team play

People on this site think if they serve more than 8 types of beers that means its hipster. Some great bars in that area.

Rainey is packed like Mardi Gras or something now. Nothing hipster about it.

My family has been in Austin since the 50s, and none of these beat out what they miss most: Holiday House. That's the true mark of a local.

Honorable mention: Marimont Cafeteria, Hansel and Gretel (before my time), Armadillo World HQ

Breweries - they have a bunch

Rainey, but I'm sure 6th would be fun for a bachelor party
Then you can go the stripper route as mentioned

We rented a pontoon boat and ran over a stripper with it. Luckily she was ok. Then we went to Carlos and Charley's and brought the strippers back to the lake house.

Went to a bachelor party there in May. We did a brewery tour sat that took us in a party type bus where we went to different breweries and distilleries. Was a lot of fun. Rainey st was cool. We randomly stumbled upon a BBQ food truck called Leroy & Lewis that was incredible. $20/person got us a bunch of smoked brisket and sausage, some random creamed corn dish, some type of fried rice, and dessert. Best BBQ I've had outside of Lewis BBQ in Charleston. We went to Perrys steakhouse the first night, the pork chop was amazing.

Yeah in Tarrytown. That was it's last location before the crazy PETA heiress shut them out. Holiday House is the father of Buds Broiler/Top Notch

No, buds broiler of New Orleans was founded by the nephew of Holiday House owner.

Top Notch was owned by the Stanish family but sold it a few years ago to the Galaxy cafe guys.
