Live in Lake Charles.

Like stated the Bayou Rum tour is pretty neat. Otherwise the casino area of the Golden Nugget and L'auberge have plenty to offer even if your not into gambling.

That's pretty odd that you only want to spend time physically in between the cities, and not give either city a chance on it's own. Looks like you'll be shopping for Levi's at the outlet in Iowa.

I haven't been since I was a kid, but it was shitty then. I really don't know how it stays in business. Every time I pass by the parking lot is completely empty.

what? I would absolutely do something in either city.

That's just as far as I want to travel and make it back for the wedding.

You have Lake Arthur to the south but as far as I know there is nothing to do there.

I can't believe no one has suggested the ever popular Lake Author for the day?

you could expand your scope by a few miles and hit Red Dog's in Egan. Leave your wife at the hotel.

Regetta in lake Arthur for lunch(outside seating on the water) good food.
Bayou rum in lacassine. tour is nice, just won't take much time to do it.
Not much to do in Jennings, welsh, lacassine, or iowa. you would probably end up at one of the casinos in Lake Charles.
Plenty of golf courses. She can ride and drink.
