Next door land has overgrown trees that are encroaching over the property boundary and is beginning to grow over my office building. The owners are a petrol company that is out of town and they never do anything with the property. Their trees need to come down, not be trimmed.

Trim them down while figuring out who to contact with the owning company to keep any damage from happening to your property.

In most states you are allowed to trim back trees encroaching over your property line up to the line. If the trees are dangerous or unhealthy you can use code enforcement to have the trees removed by the land owner.

Just get a baw with a chainsaw to go cut them down. Do it on a weekend so code enforcement isnt working. If anything ever comes of it just play dumb.

ETA most O&G companies could give two shits about some trees on some obscure property. If they dont see you cutting them down or see the evidence left behind, they will likely never even notice you cut them down.

Assert your dominance by enacting adversarial possession.

In other words get to squatting and maintain the place.
