Bacon Cheeseburger Po-Boy from Danny and Clydes. They deep fried the bacon and the meat patty but it was good.

Wow. Had forgotten those. 1970s.

There are a few websites dedicated to old candy. Look them up.

As a recovering Catholic, I recall as kids we would eat these like we were taking communion.

The white ones were pulled out for this purpose.

Garbage Pail Kids cards, slurpee, candy, and we "bought" the nudy magazines when they were still with all the other magazines on the back on the rack.

I used to gather glass coke bottles to turn in for cash at the small-town grocery store so I could load up on various candy and Suzy-Q's.

I still remember when they started selling Pokemon cards

We would bike or walk a mile and a half to the nearest 7-11 every day in Summer 1999 just to see if they had them in stock.

I wonder if we could manage to taste the old candy again as it was back then if it would be as we remember. And if it would be better than today's stuff.

I have full confidence that I would enjoy the red hot toothpicks just like I did back in the day. I eat atomic fireballs like they are going out of style still to this day.

I actually had some grape big league chew the other day because my kid picked some at the store. I shed a tear when he asked for it. Perfect "that's my boy" moment.

If you grew up in NBR, it's very possible. I'm trying to think of the name of the other convenience store. There were only 2 back in the day. Pak a Sak (which was bought out by 7-11), and one other one. That was pretty much it. I can't think of the name. Any idea?

Do you remember letting me bust a cap in your @ss?
