What sounds make you cringe?

For me, it is when a steel fork scrapes on a plate and makes that high pitched screeching sound.

when my kids were small it was the sound of handheld video games like Nintendo gameboy. Now it is a kid watching a video on the phone without headphones like in a restaurant or on a plane. Everyone does not want to hear that. See get off my lawn.
