Kinda related but not really but my mom told me the other day that she would cull the mail everyday when my brother and I were in high school and throw away all the military stuff before we could see it.
Does the military send you a lot of recruiting literature when you're in high school?

i literally finished my last fall semester final during my sophomore year. i realized i didn't enjoy college and wanted to do something to kill time until i matured into someone that would appreciate school. went to the recruiters officer and sat down and began the process of joining.

Went to school for a semester, partied too much, figured I needed to join the navy to get my shite together. Was in for 6 years, wouldn't change a thing.

Real answer... My grandfather served in WWII and I wanted to be the next member in the family to serve, and enlisted after I finished college.

Didn't know what to do after 5 great football games as a LSU freshman. Was over my head at LSU, with no study skills. Wanted to travel, and did. Good times. Saw half the world for free.
