Forget about all of the outward "macho" shite. Big loud trucks, flashy clothes, etc. don't mean anything. If you like em, cool, but that doesn't make you better than me for driving an Avalon.
Own your actions and decisions, stand by them for better or worse.
Readily accept that you are wrong at times. (probably more often wrong than right if you are me
)
Always be open to learning new things. You should always be pursuing knowledge in something.
Your own family always comes first. I mean wife and kids.
Arrogance != confidence. Confidence is being comfortable with who you were, are, and will be, and not caring what random people think of you.
Absolutely. But it is thrown around much too frequently/easily as most lefty insults tend to be. There's merit to many of the traditional masculine values.

There is nothing worse than someone who can't own up to their mistake. Whatever you do, stick behind it. People make mistakes, so trying to pretend you don't looks weak.
Life is so much better when people adapt this attitude. I’m in construction and frick ups happen daily. Mostly minor, but I’ve def had some larger ones. Always done everything I could to make it right. I do not understand how people can live with theirselves screwing others over daily. I’d lay in bed at night staring at the ceiling.
This trait is so rare that I claim screw ups as my own with customers even if it’s somebody’s else’s fault because people will instantly change their demeanor and approach 90% of the time.
I’ve seen so many other contractors and even co-workers straight up lie about things that otherwise wouldn’t be a big deal. It’s a wild behavior.

One who takes care of his family.
Nothing else matters.
Nothing else matters.

He can solve for Y or X if you can’t solve problems you serve no purpose.

Integrity and masculinity are a pretty good place to start.

Opinions will vary, but I will tell you one thing that absolutely rules out real man status...posting more than 200 times per year on a collegiate sports themed internet chat board is an automatic disqualifier.

Does one’s occupation make them more “manly” than others? The vehicle they drive? Do you believe that the only requirement to be considered a “man” is one that works hard and provides for his family? Does income measure his success as a man? Do you personally believe in the term “toxic masculinity”? Do you believe there is merit to it, or is it simply part of the new “woke” culture?

Funny. I think anyone whose life is run by politics is as weak minded and non-manly as they come.

A man owns his shite. If it’s his, he is responsible for it, protects, and sees that it’s cared for. This applies to everything from his pocket knife all the way up to his family and everything in between.
And when it comes to his family, he is a leader. Along for providing for their wants and needs his contribution is leadership.
The vehicle he drives doesn’t matter, his hobbies or pastimes don’t matter either. His facial hair, or anything else to do with his appearance doesn’t matter when it comes to being a man. It boils down to two things
1. Own your shite
2. Provide for and lead your family.
Do those two things and you can call yourself a man. Nothing else matters.

I’m not sitting on the side and getting abused because I’m a “man
It’s like that scene in Downton Abbey when Carson had to take Lady Mary side after Matthew had been dead for six months or so, and told her lovingly, “Go ‘head and cry, M’lady. What you need is a good cry.”
You can vent. We’re here, Permsy.
We miss you.

Agree with you. A "Real" man is who does what needs to be done to take care of his family and be there for his kids and wife.
