What makes a legit vs not legit WYHI thread?

Still haven't figured out this bit of OT lingo. Is a legit WYHI thread one where the woman in question doesn't look that good so you actually have to think about it for a second, or the opposite where she's a perfect 10?

Is it a legitimate question as to whether one wound or would not hit it? If it is obviously too ugly or a definite would, then the question is not 'legit'.
