1. You don’t pick up shite at your house?

why no. I don't. It's a 90 lb german shepherd and she stays in the house most of the time and goes out into a fenced area, and I just shovel it up and chunk it across the fence into the pasture

We're planning to take her to a beach condo and there is a small area for that and you have to clean up, which is obviously a good thing. We usually just board her.

We've never had a dog that lived inside before this one, and never had a fenced area for that matter. Back in the day they just roamed the neighborhood. Evidently that isn't allowed anymore but my wife wouldn't allow it anyway for this dog. She acts like it's a 90 pound baby.

but the hand inside the bag and turn inside out is a good and simple solution. Thanks

use one like this for the backyard poop:

Why wouldn't you just use a shovel? Seems like people are over complicating a simple process. Hand in a WM bag for your walks. And a shovel for your own yard when it has accumulated.

As noted that's what I do at home but I am not taking a Shovel to the beach. Maybe a little sand Shovel but I like th previous suggestion of using a plastic bag like a glove to pick it up and just turn inside out. Sounds like a winner.

There are a lot of forums on this website but I didn't see a pet forum.

My wife and I have never taken our dog anywhere we'd need one but if this virus ever breaks we may take her with us occasionally when we travel for a couple or 3 days rather than boarding her.

I see some that are basically a small rake and pan, and I see some that they call jaw scoops that evidently don't require a pan.

What you think?

A little planning, looking around a bit more, or walking a little further, you can usually find a place to let your dog shite and walk away.

I know that's frowned upon, but most dog owners do it from time to time.

I found a cheap pooper scooper on Amazon. I use it for our back yard. We have 2 dogs.

When i take them for walks I use bags and grab with my hand in the bag.

Dude a pooper scooper that's like a claw works much better especially in grass. Try picking up a soft fresh shite in long St Aug with a shovel.

I've been picking up dog shite for over 30 years with some form of pooper scooper, we've always had a big dog and lived in suburbia.

I use a disposable glove and plastic bag. Its too windy too frequently around my house for the plastic bag over the hand to work. It acts like a kite and wants to turn inside out on me.
