My shitty picture is a zoomed in iPhone picture. Obviously not a professional camera.
One cool feature on iPhones (probably android phones too) is if you tap and hold the image in your photo app, it will sometimes give you a “look up” option and if you tap that, it will find the object on the internet and tell you what it is. I put your pic in my photo library and it worked even though it wasn’t perfectly zoomed in.
Just figured this out a couple days ago with a
Great Blue Heron my youngest and I saw at the park. Gonna use it to try to teach myself to ID birds so thought I’d share.

I have a male and female that have made a nest on my back patio for 3 years now. Research shows that their usually monogamous.
Monogamy…what an outdated concept. — seemingly all Americans under 40.

Cool feature. Thanks. BTW mine worked on the original pic without putting it in the photo app first.

I have two pairs that hang around. How do you tell boy from girl?

the rusty color is much deeper and more widespread on the males..

As a young lad I shot and killed one with my BB gun at my grandparents house.
My grandfather chewed my arse.

That would lead me to conclude OP's photo would be a female.
ETA upon review, it was just the shitty pic that made me initially think female.
OP needs to fatten that boy up with some mealworm suet.

I'm no bird guy, but I knew this one too. My yard is covered in them this time of year.

Same, brought my mother to tears. I felt horrible. I brought it home oh so proud, and to be shamed and made to feel about as low as I've ever felt.

A pair gathering groceries for their young:
No leaves on the tree. This was for an early brood. The male on the left has an earthworm, which the adults don't generally eat (or at least don't prefer) and aren't particularly the best diet for the young. They'll feed earthworms early in the year when pickings of other bugs are slim, but if you see a brood collapse or die off after the chicks have gotten a decent size, there's a good chance an earthworm-heavy diet is the culprit.

They post tons of the surveillance sparrows at walmart parking lots. Keeping an eye on the rift raft I assume

Males, like most birds, are much better looking. More pronounced and deeper colors. Gotta attact them ladies.

Cardinals always look so pissy.

Really are some angry lookin' motherfrickers. We have a bunch of them too. They and the bluebirds seem to ignore each other completely.
But when a mockingbird or crow comes around, all mayhem breaks out.

Cardinals are seed/fruit eaters, so that helps with conflict with the Bluebirds. Mockingbirds are just arseholes that eat everything and try to lay claim to the entire planet. Everything is leery of a Crow due to its nest robbing habits.
I haven't seen a Tree Swallow yet this year, which is my favorite. They'll be along soon enough.

Those tits seem to be on the small side. I like my boobies bigger.
