My co-workers and I often eat at a buffet for lunch because we usually can't agree on a particular type of restaurant. I approach the buffet line with the mindset that I want to eat small portions of many different dishes. I'm adventerous by nature. I try not to eat any more food than if I had ordered off a menu. On the other hand, some of my co-workers eat as much as they can because they want to make sure they get their money's worth regardless of whether they're still hungry or not. They're the type of people who give buffets a bad name. So what is your buffet strategy?

My strategy is to put all the food in my belly.

Salad first and then I agree with the sampler method. If you want one thing only, just order off the menu.

I eat until I hate myself and try not to go back for a long time.

1. Eat about 3 plates full of food
2. Take a dump at the restaurant
3. Repeat

My strategy is to hit that thing up at the latest lunch time option available. Load enough into my gullet for lunch, dinner, and breakfast the next morning. Rinse and repeat. Profit.

Enjoy a salad with fixings I normally don't have at home like sunflower seeds and diced ham then go for the big money items such as shrimp, steak or wings.

This is a widely held misconception.

Get a massive plate of food, piled high, then run it through the chocolate fountain.

Take a quick scan of said buffet for fried chicken. You can never ever have a legit buffet without fried chicken...simple as that.

Only buffet I eat is Pizza Hut every now and then. My strategy there is to hover by the buffet bar until they bring a good pizza out and get a few hot, fresh slices of it.

The only one that’s not trashy is the all you can eat off the naked stripper during the Wednesday night special.

The only buffet I've eaten at in years is a local Mexican one called El Magey. I was skeptical of a Mexican buffet but it's actually quite good.
