I am more a fan of rapidly expanding/fragmenting hollow points that cause maximum damage and energy transfer and don't over penetrate but the Glazers will probably do the trick just as well.

My bedroom is on the opposite side of the house from the kids' rooms. I have a .357 but load it with .38s. I just want something that won't penetrate more than one layer of drywall.

That would be a fine choice then. That's one of the reasons I like the 45ACP so much. Not hardly any chance of it over penetrating. The best 357 ammo is still the 115gr +P+ winchesters if you know someone that can find them for you. They'll cost a small fortune for a box though.

A Glasser Safety Slug is a great product, particularly if you have other people in your house or apartment.

Do the Glaser's have stopping power? I've read that it produces a large superficial wound, but that doesn't tell me much about knockdown power.

Define "small fortune" and why are they appropriate for my situation?

You should try shooting first.

I'd prefer not killing someone. I feel extremely safe with my security system and cameras installed at both entries, although not in service. Guns in homes is just not for me.

All I know is if someone is crazy enough to continue to break in after hearing the pump from a shotgun they are dumb as frick

Not as dumb as the homeowner who doesn't have his weapon loaded

They wouldn't be, I was just making pointless, useless conversation. They were a LE only round designed after the 9mm 115gr +P+ round with lowered pressures for the 357. You can still find them but it's hard and they cost even more than the original +P+ Rangers. Glasers would be excellent for you as well as any of the high velocity Corbon type ammo. Higher velocity means more rapid expansion and energy transfer and less penetration.

The only night stand any real man needs. I can't believe so many OT'ers go for a gun.

H&K .40 with night sites next to bed. Wife has Charter Arms .38 on her side. Sig P226 9mm with night sites and a red lazer in man cave + S&W .357 with red lazer in that room too, FN .45 with tactical light when I'm in truck. Beretta 9mm with green lazer usually by my recliner, & a S&W M&P 9mm that is in a special place to back them all up.

Cor-Bon in .40 & .45. Barnes or Zombie Killer 115 gr. in the 9mms.

Federal 357B is still pretty easy to find and cheap. Still loaded to the old specs and widely regarded to be the best fight stopper of any load for any handgun caliber.
