Costco "Kirkland" brand alcohol.

Definitely this. Most of their liquors are made by a known company. You can tell by the shape of the bottle which brand it's supposed to replicate. Even their beer isn't bad and it's like $20 for a 48 pack. Definitely a good deal for a large gathering where quality isn't the main issue. I think it has more "taste" than most American lagers but some people I know don't like it. I personally think if the can looked higher-end, people would think it tasted better.

Four Roses yellow label is around $20 for a 750ml.

This is hands down the best value in the bourbon world IMO.

Pinnacle vodka is pretty good, as is the Costco Kirkland vodka. New Amsterdam 100 proof will frick you up at a reasonable price (about $25 for 1.75L).

I define budget by what I'm willing to share while tailgating. Canadian Mist, TAAKA, and Bacardi is as low as I'll go.

Smirnoff and Sky are not budget alcohols. Budget would be Velicoff or Taaka.
